We are currently seeking a Bosun with engineering experience to join a 40m+ private/charter vessel operating in the Mediterranean. This is a one-season vessel, with both charter guests and owner use, offering excellent training opportunities for candidates looking to further their engineering or deck careers.
Essential Qualifications- STCW95
- ENG1 Medical
- AEC1 (Advanced Engine Course) – Mandatory
- Yachtmaster
- Experience Required
- Strong tender driving skills (chase boat 12m Intrepid, and 5m Zodiac RIB)
- Varnishing & painting experience
- Charter and guest service experience
Key Requirements- Must have a genuine interest in working in the engine room
- Comfortable with guest interaction and entertainment, including guests of all ages
- Fluent in English
- Good water sports knowledge
- High level of attention to detail
- Proactive, outgoing, and a positive team player
This is a versatile role, ideal for a candidate with strong deck experience who also wants to develop their engineering skills. During the winter months, the role will shift to approximately 80% engineering work, so holding an AEC is essential.
The vessel offers a supportive environment for professional growth, including hands-on engineering training and opportunities to progress within the deck department if desired.
